# **Version 1.14 Release Notes** ## New Features & Enhancements ### Conversation Monitoring ##### New Feature Allow live feed of messages for non-participant viewers When viewing a conversation you are not in, a user can "monitor" the chat. This action subscribes to real-time message events as opposed to having to refresh page to view updates. ### Take-over Conversation ##### New Feature Great for managing chat conversations, after take-over allows an administrator OR a workspace member in a Third Party Agent chat to take over the chat from the currently assigned agent at any time. To the visitor it simply appears like a transfer occured. (Agent A has left the conversation, Agent B has joined the conversation.) ### Emoji Reactions ##### New Feature Similar to messaging options found on popular social platforms, message reactions allow workspace members participating in internal conversations to post emoji reactions to messages. Sometimes, an emoji says a 1000 words. ### Channel Mentions ##### New Feature Allows members of a channel to mention (@Your Name) and that user is notified of the message even if that channel is normally muted. ### Auto-Saving Draft Messages ##### New Feature Start typing, move to a different page in the app, or a different conversation or channel. No problem, when you return, a draft copy of your original message is ready and waiting to pick up where you left off. ### Unread Messsages ##### New Feature Sometimes it takes a little time to get the right answer. During a busy work day, those little things can pile up and be easy to foget. Now you can mark a message unread so you can easily find and return to it when you are ready. Marking unread marks that message and all others below it unread. ### Channel Permissions ##### Enhancement Administrators will enjoy a more managed messaging environment. Permissions may be assigned to the users who can or can not create/edit or post new messages into channels. This helps maintain and orderly environment and keeps mission-critical channels clear of excessive or off-topic posts. ### Live Chat Widget - Text Size Selector ##### Enhancement Choose a default text size to display (Small/Medium/Large) and/or let your visitors select the size that best fits their eye. ### Roles and Permissions ##### Enhancement Administrators can create custom roles, apply those roles to specific users, and get very granular with any function in the Rake platform. ## Bugs and Updates ### Typing Area - Code Support ##### Updated Feature Post html, javascript and other code snippets into typing area for easy communication for IT and tech users. ### Task Filtering ##### Updated Feature Make faster work of finding your tasks, or the tasks assigned to other users or channels in your workspace. ### Typing Indicator ##### Updated Feature We've moved our typing indicator below the typing area, allowing for better overall readability of those important messages just above the typing area. Thanks to the user community for your feedback on this simple but effective update. ### Muted Channel Notifications ##### Bug Fix Muting a channel is supposed to suppress all notifications, we had a bug that would display the notification bubble on new messages, even in muted channels. It's fixed now.
