Orb is a Web3 Social built on Lens Protocol, a decentralised social graph. Content creators on Orb can monetize their content and engage with like minded people in Orb Communities (eg. Musicians, Developers).

Orb is available both on Android, and iOS with `100,000+ users`.


*Once you download https://www.orb.ac/, you can **signup** to Orb in two ways:*

### Guest Login with #OneTap

- You don't need a "Lens Profile" or to sign up to check out the app with the Guest Login, just enter with a single tap (#OneTap).

Guest Login lets you see what's going on, but to create or interact with content, you'll need to **Login with Wallet**.

### Login with Wallet

- [ ] Currently, Login to Orb is whitelisted to Lens profile. If you don't have a lens profile, you can get yours [here](https://www.lens.xyz/).

> If you already have a Lens Profile, simply connect with your wallet and voila! you are verified user of Orb App.

### Connect Wallet with Desktop

If you don't have a mobile wallet. Head to https://connect.orb.ac/ on your desktop.

**Step 1:** Connect Wallet: this is especially good for Ledger users, or user who is comfortable with browser wallet.

**Step 2:** Scan QR Code: Scan the QR code using Orb's mobile app.

**Step 3:** You will receive the OTP, enter it and,

You will be logged in automatically.

Once you have verified with Lens, you can choose to:

1. **enable DMs** - Allows you to send, receive messages to other verified Orb users.
2. **allow notifications** - You can always change this later in the settings.

Before you create your first post "gm", it's a good idea to create your profile.

# Creating Profile on Orb

Now head to your profile, and start editing:

- Your profile Picture & Cover
- Your bio/ status update & location
- Your username
- Your social links (website, twitter etc)


once you updated your profile, **hit "save"**

## Create Post on Orb: drop a "GM"

*drop a "GM" and start making friends on Orb*

- On home screen, you can see a :lower_left_ballpoint_pen: icon on the bottom right corner.
- Simply click on that, and write "GM", maybe introduce yourself.

## How Content Creators Can Earn Money with Orb

Orb lets you turn your posts into unique digital items (NFTs), which others can get for free or buy from you. You can also create special collections with your content.

Here's a breakdown of the features and steps:

#### Setting up Earnings
- `Digital Collectible` Turn this on to see more options below.
- `charge for collecting` Decide the price for others to own your music post as a unique digital item (NFT). Once someone pays and collects your post, they own that unique digital version.
- `Mirror referral rewards` Reward people who share your post, helping you reach more people.
- `Split Revenue` If you want to share the earnings with someone else (they **must be** an Orb user).

#### Creating Exclusive Content

- `Limited Edition` Make a special set of unique digital items with your content.
- `Time Limit` Offer your content for a limited time. Once time's up, no more of these unique digital items can be created.
- `Only Followers can Collect` Make your content available only to your followers as unique digital items.Introduce your content as NFT only for your followers.

Orb has many communities where people with similar interests can gather. It's a friendly place to meet others, share your work, and learn together.

Just click on the "👥" icon from the homepage to start discovering these communities.


Orb has a variety of communities covering all walks of life. Here are some popular ones:

- `Developers`: Communities like Developers, buildspace, Alchemy University, and Developer DAO for coding enthusiasts.
- `Anime`: Communities like anime and galverse for anime lovers.
- `LifeStyle`: Communities like Lisbon Life for sharing lifestyle experiences.
