# What is “Community Highlights”? (Tentative Title)

Lately on the Discord, I’ve been seeing requests to get to know the community members more intimately; Dysomnia (@Ruben Pinhero) suggested fostering 1:1 conversations. I hosted a test-community call a few weeks ago and felt that a lot of people resonated with it. I personally resonated, because it’s important for me to have different voices and different perspectives share their artists journey. Hearing these stories is a form of support that will encourage growth and forge strong community ties.

I propose weekly or bi-weekly open forums with the following format:

- Community updates (DAO updates, community projects, ways to participate)** – 10 min
- Announce the featured artist of the (bi)week – 5 min
- Interview and preceding featured artist, discuss community topic (hangout)* – 30 min
- Open dialogue / Q&A (audience engagement)** – 15 min
- Summary and agenda

## Notes:

The hangout encourages community members to engage with and become more interested with the featured artist. The featured artist is encouraged to speak to the other guests about the community topic.Guests and Curators are speakers, the audience are encouraged to speak during their segment.

Guests are encourage to prepare a question in advance and submit it to the curator in preparation of the interview. Curator is to announce the community topic
