By Erik Karlsson (ek223jz). A simple home security system using LoPy4 by Pycom with MicroPython. It has movement and fire detection, cloud connection and phone notification. Estimated time: ~10-20 hours if you got all the material and follow this guide. Objective My apartment is a small one, but I still managed to squeeze in a TV, X-Box, computers and a new bed. I want to protect them from burglars, but I don't think it's worth my money to spend it on some expensive home protection system which could cost up to 500 SEK a month. I also don't feel really safe with just my basic smoke alarm. So that's why I'm going to build a home security system, with motion detection, temperature sensor and a built-in fire-alarm - with connection to the cloud and notification on your phone when the alarm goes off!
