# ENS Ecosystem Working Group
Article III of the ENS Constituion states:
> Any income generated to the ENS treasury is to be used first of all to ensure the long-term viability of ENS, and to fund continuing development and improvement of the ENS system.
With this in mind, the ENS Ecosystem WG is intended to focus on supporting the long-term viability of ENS, and to fund projects and initiatives that further improve ENS.
## Q1/Q2 Goals / What is winning at the end of the Term?
- Support the creation of sub-groups related to the ENS Ecosystem, such as Integrations, Hackathons, Bug Bounty, Third Party Projects (like ETHLeaderboard), and L2s.
- Establish best practices around the creation and funding of sub-groups within the Ecosystem WG.
- Establish onboarding tracks for the WG broadly, and work with subgroup Lead Coordinators to support onboarding into subgroups.
## Sub-groups and Budget
There are several focuses in H1 2022 for ENS Ecosystem working group which are:
- Hackathons
- external hackathons
- Integrations
- metadata service

- Bug Bounty
- request enough to cover small bounties (50k in reserve to cover low and medium)
- large bounties would be put to the whole
- DAO wide snapshot vote at the same time
- Third party projects
- ETH leaderboard
- Layer 2
- Core Protocol (ENS Manager)
## Compensation
- A starting point that changes based on time spent/value created
- Retroactive ENS token distributions for stewards over and above compensation in stables
