**Time period:**
- Bugfixing and redesign during December
- Implementation during January, and finished by early February.
**1. Bug fixing:**
1.1. In the main 'discussion analytics' view
- Fix pie-chart. After displaying percentages correctly, and then selecting a period where there is no participation the colors in the chart becomes mixed (e.g. there are two different green colors).
- The colors of the pie-chart should be reversed. Red for the part where no students participate and green for the part where students participate.
- Fix the word cloud. It is still not stable. Some words listed in the 'Detailed concept' view are not displayed in the word-cloud when you go back from 'Detailed concept' to 'discussion analytics'
**2. Improved design and new functionality**
**2.1. In general:**
- Inform users that this LTI only works for certain browsers; browser detection; user agent
**2.2. In the main 'discussion analytics' view**
- The pie-chart takes too much space. We should have a run through of look and feel, and size with Camille.
**2.3. Detailed participation view:**
- Be able to sort columns in the main table-list asc/desc.
- Add extra column in the main table-list with no. of words each student has written.
- Remove bar chart, or create a drop down menu with various available charts (e.g. bar chart, SNA, spider-webs)
- Have a question mark icon attached to the name of the SNA that explains it to the user.
- SNA: when they click on a node then the explanation of the calculation is displayed below in the text field. The explanation should be language sensitive (based on Canvas language).
- When clicking on a SNA node: Have a table on the right displaying connection and communication (e.g. student1_student2; student1_posts; student2_replies)
**2.4. Detailed concept view**
- The teachers should be able to set themselves how many words are visualized in the 'Detailed concept' view
- Highlight words in posts-list (right-hand side) after clicking a word in the concept-list (left-hand side)
- Display number of words of for a particular post in the posts-list (right-hand side).
- Improved administration of stop words. Use check boxes to remove words; Removed words are added to the text-field. Keep the text field in case users wants to add a word to the list. Words that are 2-3 letters and have been removed should be available in the text field as well (e.g. LMS is 3 letters but potentially an important concept)
**2.5. Comparative analytics**
- In detailed participation view: should be able to compare participation from one time period to another. However, this needs more planning.
