He has divided concepts into yellow and green concepts, where the yellow are the "standard" ontological concepts, and the green are semiotic objects, i.e., classes that exist as a consequence of _having been_ declared through a semiotic process. ## Adding new concepts James has created issues in the [domain-crystallography](https://github.com/emmo-repo/domain-crystallography) repository, using an adapted version of the template Emanuele presented in a previous meeting. The template outlines the information a domain expert can add to define new concepts for the ontology. We decided to move away from the issue-driven workflow of adding new concepts to a pull request-driven workflow instead, where the concepts-as-templates are outlined in a dedicated markdown file and new suggestions are added through pull requests. New suggestions are also added through pull requests. Work on new concepts should be continued in the GitHub repository in this way, and only critical issues regarding this aspect of our work will be brought up in future meetings. ## Drawing the yellow/green line Drawing the line between the yellow and green, refers to the colors Emanuele has given the boxes in the [Miro board](https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVPRt6mHY=/) as mentioned above. We need to discuss where we go from yellow to green concepts, i.e., from "standard" ontological classes and concepts to semiotic object classes and concepts. Currently, the line is set between `Matter` and `Material`, however, arguments for and against moving it down below `Material` were presented and discussed without reaching a proper solution/decision. This discussion should be continued at the next meeting. ## Base IRI for the CIF-ontology It has been decided that James will reach out to IUCr and ask whether it they will support the CIF-ontology work by setting up a redirect for a sub-domain under iucr.org. This redirect should then point to where we technically publish the CIF-ontology. Most importantly, this means we could use iucr.org as the base IRI for all things CIF-ontology. The EMMO Crystallography domain ontology will stay under the emmo.info base IRI. ## Next meeting Due to summer/winter time changes, we need to find a new meeting time from next time on. Simultaneously, the meeting will be cut down to an hour, to more easily fit it into our calendars. The time cut is also a promise that more between-meeting time will be spent on GitHub, discussing new concepts with the new workflow and updating the CIF-ontology as needed.
