# Notes on Fedora CoreOs
*Notes from meeting with Clement Verna 31/08/2022*
- #### What is Fedora CoreOS?
“Fedora CoreOS is an automatically-updating, minimal operating system for running containerized workloads securely and at scale. It is currently available on multiple platforms, with more coming soon.” - https://getfedora.org/en/coreos?stream=stable
An operating system focused on security and running applications as containers.
Pretty much running things at, at scale, like pointing applications at scale and I think security is a big part of our story also.
- #### For net new Fedora CoreOs users, who is a growth audience we should try to address?
An application developer that doesn't want to care too much about the operating system. They just want an operating system to run their application, but they don't really want to be expert in that operating system or they trust the operating system.
They want to develop an application on the desktop and containerize it to easily share and make available to others. Fedora CoreOS is a good solution for them.
