# Midjourney hallucinations

Reading [DALL-E + GPT-3 = ❤](https://medium.com/@glan1k/dall-e-gpt-3-d1aaaff38639) I wanted to try the same hallucinations for Midjourney.

Midjourney produces four variations from a query, and allows you to work onwards with them individually, either to produce further variations similar to one of them, or to upscale one of them and make a higher resolution picture similar to that one.

Midjourney also allows you to use a different algorithm with the `--hd` modifier, which in my experience makes much more abstract and strange pictures.

Below I have let MJ hallucinate according the texts generated in the linked article, both using `--hd` and not. By default MJ makes the pictures square, but I have made them 34:21 because I like the golden ratio.

I also followed similar rules as `glan1k`, but modified them a bit:
- “:: Digital Art” is appended at the end of each generated line
- Policy-violating words removed or replaced (e.g “dead”)
- Generating twice per algo, post both results. Follow up with some extras if one turns out especially interesting or pretty.
