It shouldn't be a big problem for most producers to stick to 255 characters though. The new standard adds some 10-20 characters to the routing key (depending on event type) ​[14:25] SANTOSH NC the event type itself won't take much of the part but the <tag> and <domain> could be anything varying and can lead to more than 255 characters. ​[14:32] Emil Bäckmark True, but we don't see it as a major issue to shorten the possible length of tag/domain with 10-20 characters.
