# 2022-03-03 Eiffel monthly community meeting: Generating documentation and schemas from a common source

### AsyncAPI

- Not a perfect fit for Eiffel.
- We'll probably need to make some adjustments to either our way of working or thinking or to the AsyncAPI spec. That takes time and effort.
- There's nothing stopping us from generating AsyncAPI specification(s) from our new definition format (below).
- Richer ecosystem like graphical editors, schemas, and validators.

AsyncAPI might be feasible in the future, but for now we don't have the time to invest. Something homegrown results in a short TTM.
