Eco Volunteerism

Volunteer ecotourism is a relatively new concepts in the travel and tourism sector. It is rapidly gaining popularity. Volunteer ecotourism program intend to provide meaningful travel and service experiences to volunteers while providing benefits to communities and environment in the form of environmental work. However, many lack adequate onboarding process, meaningful engagement and evaluative measures that take multiple stakeholders’ viewpoints into consideration.

* Create a pool of interesting projects
* Create a network of mentors
* Enable safe accomodation ;
* Enable virtual booking of projects and enrollment with mentors.
* Assign responsible and interesting work;
* Including adaptation preparation processes;
* Improved communication of expectations and goals;
* Inclusion of hosts in post-trip evaluation;
* Improved documentation and long-term management of Volunteerism.

The VE model provides a unique form of short-term volunteer labor, which might be suited for organizations with greater capacities to absorb and
integrate volunteers on a short-term basis.
