--- tags: blog --- # The Mission - How? [TOC] ### Get Money! > (write: @Nurturegirl) If a company doesn't have to consume massive capital with a promise of a 10x return, can it be viable? Competitive? One of the core constraints in designing new financial funding flows must be stakeholders as self same with investors. If the people investing are themselves the stakeholders in the services, then we will be less likely to have outcomes that create disparities and coercion. As transition, some have offered up ideas such as ["Exit to Community.](https://techcrunch.com/2020/08/31/exit-to-community/)" For those not already embedded in the existing models, how do we fund from within community? This need not appear as revolutionary as it may sound, since friends and family along with crowdfunding have been important funding methods already. What small tweaks and improvements might help support these in keeping stakeholders and funders aligned or of the same set? At Economikit we mix and match existing options together to heelp create funding options appropriate to the stage of development of projects and scale of funding. For example, we are looking at "Spiral Funding" as a scaling approach that mixes "friends and family" in early stage with crowdfunding for scaling up, and things like Exit to Community for longterm cooperative ownership and funding. ### Make Value! > (write: @Nurturegirl) * Communities as Self Sovereign: Coops * The Business models supporting Commoning These funding models lead elegantly to new business models and forms of organizing business. For example, the organizational structure were members are owners is usually called a cooperative. Healthy cooperatives with functional governance tend to be resilient to market fluctuations. Luckily the technology we align with with further propose also assists with healthy functional governance to make it easier for such organizations to thrive. ### Account For it All! > (write: @pospi) * Holo-REA * The new economy is made of aggregations. To escape the coercive and erosive business models, it would serve us well to develop financial flows with different parameters.
