# Basic Sector Echo 13 Lore
**Please note that this is WIP, as is most of the lore.**
### The Banshee's Echo Nebula
As the name suggests, this is the nebula that Sector Echo 13 encompasses, it being the Sector's namesake. The Nebula is well known for the various anomalies within that interfere with communications and sensors within the sector. One particular anomaly, which the nebula is partially named in reference to, is the occasional "echoing" of signals, sometimes even years after they were originally broadcasted. These transmissions of course, never return intact, often being strangely distorted.

The nature of this nebula makes the Sector a considerable degree isolated from the rest of the galaxy, and often requires specialty equipment to be outfitted onto a vessel for its crew to be able to safely navigate, communicate, and operate within the Sector. It also happens to make it home to many things and people that don't want to be found, or messed with, generally.

### Nanotrasen
We all know Nanotrasen, or NT. As this is a place generally regarded as a frontier, they still hold some amount of power here, even if their influence is resisted to a degree by the USL and other groups.

## Notable Companies
While some may be able to be considered factions wielding power in their own right, the ones that lack such power are to be listed here.
### IntraComm Interstellar
IntraComm Interstellar is a company that proved vital to the success and survival of the many planets within the USL, and sector as a whole. They specialize and produce advanced communication technology, along with other electronics, such as sensor systems, and hardened consumer-grade devices. They are primarily known for their relays found throughout the sector, obviously lacking NT's mark, which feature specialized hardware purpose-built for reliable communication despite the anomalies found throughout the nebula, that also happens to have the most vital parts to this process locked inside of an explosive-rigged and heavily shielded blackbox. Finiancially backed to a considerable degree by the USL, and is rumored to be directly controlled by them, but this is unproven.
