# Pancake: Support China region
## Problem description
As you know, China is separated from the World Wide Web by the [Great Firewall](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Firewall). In order to be able to provide access to your resources in China, you need to obtain an [ICP license](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICP_license)
The Google **GLB** *(Global Load Balancer)* addresses that we provided as the endpoint of the **BSC** nodes did not go through the procedure for obtaining a license, because they are blocked in China by default, which makes it impossible for clients to get access to our **BSC** endpoint.
## Solutions
At the moment, https://pancakeswap.finance/ is available in most provinces of China, which means that it can be assumed that **pancakeswap.finance** / **pancakeswap.com** has an ICP license tied to **CloudFlare** addresses.

> Check whether the domain name is a second-level domain name.
> If your website is hosted on instances in Mainland China, you must apply to the MIIT for an ICP filing for the domain name of your website. After the ICP filing for the top-level domain name is obtained, the second-level domain names and sub-domain names become accessible and no more ICP filing is required.

^^^ This means that the license will work for sub-domain nodes as well, if the record points to CloudFlare servers
**All that needs to be done is: enable proxy mode for *nodes.pancakeswap.com* in CloudFlare admin.**

### Latency issue for Chinese clients & traffic encryption
Passing https traffic through the Chinese firewall increases the response time by 5 seconds or more, so traffic from Chinese clients between CloudFlare and GCP should not be encrypted.
#### Solutions
Based on
https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200170416-End-to-end-HTTPS-with-Cloudflare-Part-3-SSL-options#h_4e0d1a7c-eb71-4204-9e22-9d3ef9ef7fef
it is required to set SSL mode to "Flexible" in CloudFlare dshboard for the endpoint and enable HTTP on GLB
