# Security Panic Button
## Abstract
Security panic button is a fast way for Security Officers to report that they're currently in some kind of distress, and need help of other officers (as reporting such during a fight is not the easiest thing to do). It only reports that the said officer is in need of help, without giving any additional information.
This will encourage teamwork in the Security department, with officers not fighting alone but pressing said button, making Warden or AI help track his position and coordinate nearest officers to help them.
## Goals
1. Encourage teamwork in Security
2. Give more job to Security coordinators (Warden, HoS, AI)
3. Make officers able to call-in help without needing to write a message
## Non-Goals
1. Discouraging officers from talking into the Security radio
2. Make it much simplier to dogpile antags

Security and HoS headsets now have a UI button "Request Backup". When its pressed a message is sent into the Security channel "[name] is requesting immediate backup to their location!!", while also announcing to anyone around officer "Backup has been requested!" while playing a obvious sound. Fufilling Goal 3, as now you don't need to potentially dying typing in chat, and can just press one button.
The message sent into the Security channel is very vague only naming who needs help, due this Warden, AI, or HoS will have to track them and coordinate officers to get there. Fufilling Goal 1 and 2, while eliminating Non-Goal 1 as the message doesn't provide enough information to replace speech (and also can be faked if you cover your face and put someone else ID). Also due this if Officers sensors are turned off, there is no any way to locate them.
Due the announcment played to anyone nearby (with the sound), antags will understand that mostly likely more Security Officers will come there and that they need to run away (or remove officer sensors) ASAP. This way it eliminates Non-Goal 2, as antagonists will understand that Security is on their way to the this location.
The Panic Button doesn't work if the wearer is incapacitated, dead, or the headset is EMP'd. As such helping even more with Non-Goal 2, as now if you get Officer paralyzed/stunned or similiar first (or EMP them) he wouldn't be able to press the button.
