  • Join the NRC DAO as a researcher. Internal Aspects of the Program Objectives and Metrics Supporting Researchers in the NEAR Ecosystem: The primary objective is to cultivate an active, interdisciplinary research community focused on the NEAR Protocol and its associated technologies. This community will serve as a hub for scholarly exchange, fostering innovation and contributing to the broader Web3 ecosystem. Efficient Research Flows for Data-Backed Decision-Making: The program aims to optimize the research pipeline by facilitating access to high-quality, peer-reviewed research. This will enable NEAR Protocol-based projects to make informed, data-backed decisions. The focus will be on creating efficient workflows for research proposal submission, peer review, and dissemination, thereby reducing the time from research conception to implementation. Core Metric: The program's success will be gauged by the number of researchers funded and the total amount of funding allocated, with a focus on the impact and quality of the research produced.

  • Executive Summary The Puppy Passports project leverages the innovative technology of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), utilizing NEAR protocol as the layer 1 blockchain technology and Mintbase for NFT management, to foster animal welfare initiatives in Antigua and Barbuda. This project aims to create digital "passports"(link) for dogs (and eventually other animals/locations), offering a novel approach to supporting animal care and shelter needs. By integrating blockchain technology with the cause of animal welfare, Puppy Passports seeks not only to raise funds for Dogs and Cats of Antigua but also to increase awareness and engagement with animal welfare issues across the island. This project uniquely combines the realms of digital assets and social good; enabling users to collect NFTs that directly contribute to the well-being of animals, while also enjoying a connection with the animals through social interactions enabled by the Blockchain Operating System (BOS). Introduction Animals, especially dogs and cats, play a significant role in human lives; offering companionship, love, and comfort. Unfortunately, many animals in Antigua and Barbuda find themselves without homes, which leaves them living in shelters, or in other less than ideal conditions. The Puppy Passports project envisions a world where every dog has the opportunity to be loved and cared for, breaking free from the confines of shelters or the streets. Through the power of blockchain technology and NFTs, we aim to create a sustainable model of support for animal welfare organizations, starting with Dogs and Cats of Antigua.

Discussion link: (will be a link to a near.social post with this same information and a link to specific NDC EasyPoll) Question 1: Minimum Vote Count Value? Description: In a previous poll, the question was posed: "Do we need a minimum vote count for nominee election to a house? When a limited number of candidates are contesting for a position, should their election be confirmed solely based on their nomination, or should there be a specific minimum vote count they must attain in order to be officially elected?" The chosen response was: Yes, there should always be a minimum vote count to ensure legitimacy.
