HackMD Team lets you create a collaborative workspace where you can share your thoughts and engage with your community. All team members can see all team notes and team managers control each member's permissions. According to your community's need, the team can also be a public one, where everyone can contribute. image ▲ Team space is a stand-alone workspace Team privacy types There are two types of HackMD teams:

The user who created the team workspace owns it and has the highest permission to access the workspace. :::info 💡 The team owner can only be transferred to a user with an Admin role on the team, and this user must set up an email address for their HackMD account. ::: Before going into the real action, we recommend confirming that the user is about to receive ownership. :ballot_box_with_check: The user is already an Admin of the team workspace

You may have signed up for more than one HackMD account and created notes in each of them. If you would like to merge these accounts, you will be able to log into HackMD using any of these methods and access all of the notes that you have created. Here's how to do it. :::success :bulb: Notice If the email address you used to create your account is the same as the one associated with your third-party platform account, then the account you created with that email will be automatically merged when you log in with the third-party platform, and you won't need to manually link the accounts. ::: :::danger

HackMD's Team Program offers excellent functionality and flexible permissions for $5 per person per month. However, if you are a non-profit, educational organization, or are launching a cause-oriented community or project, you may apply for a non-profit sponsorship from HackMD. Free private teams are limited to 3 members, but we can expand your private team to 20 members upon application and review. Additionally, if you have greater needs, we would be happy to discuss further options for collaboration. [!Note] Sponsorship Review Criteria In addition to public welfare, non-profit activities, education, and promotion, we will consider the principles of similarity to the nature of the product, the urgency of the team's needs, and the priority of the disadvantaged in terms of resources as supplemental considerations, due to the limitations of the total amount of sponsorship allocation. Given the limited resources, HackMD may appropriately screen and prioritize sponsorships or assist in the transition to other solutions. [!Tip] You may want to consider creating a public team. At HackMD, team workspaces are categorized as private or public. There is no limit to the number of members in a public team. In a public team's workspace, every note is published.

What is a yearly payment? You pay yearly for your HackMD subscription. Yearly payment is available for Prime Personal and Team plans. A year begins on the day of the yearly payment and ends on the same calendar date next year. Why would I pay yearly instead of monthly? You get a nice discount for paying yearly and the pricing is fixed until the yearly billing cycle ends. If the subscription of HackMD qualifies reimbursement at your organization, it is much better done once per year instead of per month. That's 91.7% less bureaucracy!

You can hide Comments that disrupt normal discussions, or Resolve comments that have already been resolved. :::info 💡 Try suggest edit Sometimes we leave comments to point out a typo, suggest a better phrase, or add a new perspective to the text. These comments are like scaffolding on a text that is expected to be removed once the text leaves the draft stage and faces a wider readership. For these scaffolding edits, suggesting edits is a better choice than comments. Learn more on suggest edits →

Suggest Edit allows teams and their audiences to correct errors, suggest better wording, suggest alternative versions of paragraphs, and even use it as a to-do list. :::info Suggest Edit is in Beta You can try it all you want. It will become a paid feature when it comes out of beta. ::: Activate Suggest Edit The owner and admin of the note may enable Suggest Edit for the note.
