# GITHUB RECOVER ACCOUNT --- ### Use Cases: 1. Lost access to Github account associated with CodePath 2. Change the current Github account associated with CodePath courses --- ``` Before proceeding with the steps, make sure that you are logged out from Github. ``` - [ ] Step 1: Click this link: https://apply.codepath.com/recover-account which will direct you to our recover account dashboard. ![](https://i.imgur.com/oB2y3Dh.png) - [ ] Step 2: Enter your **email address associated with CodePath** and click "Send Recovery Link". An email (like the one below) will be sent to you containing the recovery link. ![](https://i.imgur.com/FgOaX4f.png) - [ ] Step 3: Click the recovery link and it will redirect you to your current User Profile. ![](https://i.imgur.com/E019LCq.png) - [ ] Step 4: Click "SWITCH" and it will prompt you to login to the new Github account that you will be associating with CodePath. - [ ] Step 5: Once you have successfully logged in, then you have successfully changed your Github account associated with CodePath.
