Though every projects are according to this roadmap, I'll describe recent movements.
Actually, business model and ways to create profit differs on each BUs and projects.
## Churn prediction
### Books PoC result
So far, PoC for Books is not working dramatically in terms of ROI or GMS contribution.
Our hypothesis is:
Customer that most likely churn is not influenced that much by coupon email (do NOT purchase anyway), as well as who least likely churn (DO purchase anyway).
According to this, we can expect the cost reduction by not sending email to customer with churn score 1,2 and 9,10.
Result details are on the excel attached.
We can say the hypothesis might be proved, but still the number of recipients is too small (around 80,000), hence cost reduction contribution stays around few hundreds thousand yen.
This email PoC will be continued untill January, and regarding that result, we'll decide wheather continuing this project or improve the model, and such.
## New Genre Purchase Prediction

- Step 5 coupon PoC
We are just preparing for PoC on 8th January.
Regarding the last 2 PoCs, we calculated the GMS impact estimation on the attached excel.
(sheet "Step5 Repeat coupon base" & "Revenue calculation")
The coupon is the one added on the next to the normal Step 5 coupon (after-purchase coupon), which will guide customers to purchase different genre item.
With the success of this PoC, we are expecting 3.3B GMS contribution in 1 year.
