# **Virtual Demo Day Student Protocol**
### What is Demo Day?
Demo Day is an event dedicated to CodePath students. CodePath students will have the opportunity to present their group project to their classmates, Tech Fellows, Gurus, Judges, and CodePath community. In the past, Demo Day has taken many forms — such as an in-person event held in San Francisco and a virtual event held during the pandemic. Regardless the location or platform, Demo Day's objective is to provide students with a stage to share the culmination of their progress after weeks of learning and practice!
In this cohort, Demo Day is segmented into two events: local Demo Day and national Demo Day. Each group will present at their local Demo Day held at their respective site. Afterwards, each group is eligible to be considered as a finalist in the national Demo Day to compete in front of cool judges and prizes.
## **Student Action Items**
- Groups must pick a **lead presenter** who will be the person in charge of sharing their screen when it’s their turn to present
- Revisit and polish your Github repo README to help judges understand the features, technical challenges, and use cases of your app
*If a team member is unable to participate, that’s fine. Don’t forget to give credit, though!

**Suggestion 2:**
