In case you missed the last update, here’s the Heroes Official Developer Update #2!
This is the first update since we launched our latest pre-alpha build to the public! We've received a fantastic response from the community. Thank you to everyone who participated; we couldn't do this without you! We've had nearly 50 participants play the latest build with very positive feedback, but only 11 Heroes were able to slay Apollyon and claim his medallion. And we have two new top Heroes! Check out the leaderboard:
Champions

We are now working on the next build, which will be used for our first official Dungeon event!
Multi-Floor Dungeons
For our first events, you will be fighting through multi-floored dungeons instead of multiple dungeons in various environments. To create the floors, we will link multiple dungeons together that are within the same environment.
Full implementation of Hero stats and traits into gameplay mechanics
We will be implementing your Hero stats and traits into gameplay. Your Hero stats will affect how your Hero plays in the game. Equipped traits will also affect things like strength and the ability to block damage from enemies.
New Enemies
Watch out for Sporox the Fungal Fury! He will be the first new enemy type, but watch out for others as well.

Elemental Damage and Special Attacks
They say variety is the spice of life, so how about some special attacks and elemental damage! We will be adding Mana to power special and elemental attacks.
Puzzle Mechanics
We will be adding puzzle mechanics that we can build upon. Secret doors and pressure plates, anyone?
Enemy Spawners
We will be updating enemy spawning to happen from select locations. Rather than randomly spawning all over the map, the gameplay will feel like you are exploring different sections of the dungeon and clearing it out. You might find a rat nest or a horde of skeletons!
Magic Staff Ranged Attack
Magic staffs will get ranged attacks. How about magic fireballs?
Movement Experimentation
We will be experimenting with different movement systems like twin-stick movement.
In collaboration with Luxas, we are working on new music for Merlin's Dungeons. We will be keeping the existing soundscapes for when you are not in active battle, but Luxas has created a theme song to capture the essence of Heroes when in and out of battle! We are excited to share it with you once it's complete.
