# Notes: In-Person Rendezvous @ MCON1
16 September 2021 18:00 UTC - *8 attendees*
### What have we done so far?
- Calls
- Meetings / sharing notes
- Workstreams: handbook, wiki, twitter / curation engine (MVP process for creating value for community)
### General briefing minutes
- Improvements to Curation Engine
- Norm: put a description in all discord channels
- Sync > Async for sharing knowledge
- No public declaration yet of what we do + call to action to come help
- Requires clarity + mechanism
- "Send us cool stuff that should be shared with all DAOs"
- Haven't added participation yet
- Active participation -> requires incentivization?
- We should be clear on what members want
- We should be clear on contributor vs. lurker (what is the requirement / threshold?)
- Empower each DIA builder to have their own project
- Mechanism to reclaim projects from people who are not doing them?
- What do the DAOs actually want?
- Norm: Every project needs an owner "Operator"
- Funding is not an issue, but need call to action "shilling point"
- Roles for each part of the funnel?
- Finder, curator, signal booster
- Emphasis on "education" -> building courses?
- There's something context-specific about courses that we're still missing
- Who is our enemy?
- Maybe it's not about more contributors, since we already hace great minds. Small = manageable
- POAP for contributors as a first step
- Funding for real workstreams, later
- What can we learn from Wikipedia?
- Can we build composable lego block of this? Knowledge sharing / curator DAO mechanism others can fork
- Anyone can publish to a wiki, that's the "place" for DAO information
- Add a "no" signal to the curation mechanism, then require more "yes" signal if there is "no" signal
- Taxonomies are hard (coordination failure)
- Start just with putting it into the wiki?
- Someone else organizes (synthesizers)
- Graph DB instead?
- Quora approach, Q&A > wiki?
- What do we want to share information on? Culture, tools, etc.
- Values: what are we trying to facilitate
- Let's draft a tweet that we want people to say about the DIA a lot
### DIA Meme Continuation
- "New unclassified report from the DIA"
- "Declasified" vs "Unclassified"
- DIA has released new declassified information on ...
- If CIA has a file on DAOs, what does it say?
- Can literally copy unclassified CIA files - aesthetic is really important
- "Known affiliations"
- DAO member profiles
- Key Events
- Photos w/ sneaky angles
- Paperclip photocopy
- Report on coordination failures (top secret info)
- Monospaced font / black + white documents + Redacted [|||||||||] blocks!!!
- Publish show notes with redactions and people will be interested to read them
- Design will be really important for this (cryptic + fun aesthetic)
### Weekly Intelligence Rendezvous
- Secret meeting place each week
- Change each week -> Discord takeovers
- Helps open up Horizontal Coordination between related / member DAOs
- Change username for the Discord of the week (Agent Name) - will need permission for this
- Core of decentralized coordination
- Twitter spaces?
- "Rendezvous"
- Make it fun
- Tweet thread on what we do before inviting people to the Rendezvous
- Time: 1pm EST wednesday - gets americans and europeans
- Top priorities:
- Visual collateral
- Obvious onboarding / front door (website) -> find clue to the next meeting
