The vast expanse. For our purposes, we will call it space.* *Welcome to space. The final frontier.* *There is space between the proton and the electron.* *There is space between the ancient Earth and the Moon.* *And there is space between you and I.* *You are welcome to that space. The space between you, and the greatest adventure of your life.* *You see the Federation Embassy ahead slowly filling your shuttle's viewscreen. If you choose to close the space between us, then this massive rotating cylinder will be your home for the next few months.* *I, the embassy computer will be entrusted with your safety and well-being while you are aboard.* *You've been entrusted with all of your delegation's SPICE stores. The powdery orange substance that brings meaning to life, enables enhanced states of consciousness and enables interstellar travel.* *It fills dozens of barrels in your shuttle's storage bay. A risk to bring it all, but if you can use it to negotiate your aims at the Embassy, it will all be worthwhile.* *Do you feel that? The subtle shift in gravity? That's my tractor beam engaging, drawing you on board. Closing the space between us. Preparing your ship to dock. I'm scanning your cargo bay. Weighing your spice.* *Do you know what one being could do, with that much spice? You could still go. You could betray your delegation, by increasing the space between us. Increasing the space between me and your spice.* *Did you know that there is more spice in this space station now, than in any one place in the universe? Imagine, what one being could do with **that** much spice.* *If you choose, to close the space between your shuttle, and my station. When you land, an acolyte of your delegation will greet you at the shuttle doors. Your spice will be secured by shields and linked to your DNA. No one may access it without your permission. You'll be led to your quarters where you'll have full access to my systems.* *The other delegates are waiting for you. Waiting to see how much spice you're bringing to the station. Waiting to see how skillfully you can negotiate. Your residence on the Inter-Planetary Station is to your liking, I hope. If not, please feel free to make upgrades.* *On behalf of the Federation, I appreciate your commitment to the mutual benefit of all who share our galaxy and look forward to witnessing what you do with our mutable governance and shared treasury.* ### Declare Your Loyalty Before we begin, [tell us who you are](https://airtable.com/shrzSGCr1LCCGmkgI). *The Federation is immersed in a treasury impasse. Thus, we’ve agreed to designate a portion of funds in an exercise to reach a decision on how shared Federation funds are to be deployed.* ### Claim Your Position ***Please, begin this Federation exercise and claim your shares, by [Summoning a DAO and a Minion](https://www.loom.com/share/e18dd3546a8f466f9649e7213282fed1).*** - Make sure you are on Gnosis Chain. - Go to https://app.daohaus.club/ - In the left side of navigation click the summon button. In order to add customizations required for this exercise, choose **hard mode**, not the predefined configurations. - Click the **hard mode** button on the right side. This opens a form. - The first box is our white listed tokens for the DAO treasury. We will add two addressed here, **comma separated**. HAUS and SPICE > 0xb0c5f3100a4d9d9532a4cfd68c55f1ae8da987eb, 0x65e1738344eb68c7e2f4279ad9e1f7c253a09911 - Next fields: - Periods: 60 seconds. - Voting Period: 20 minutes - Grace Period: 20 minutes - Dilution Bound: 3 - Deposit: 0 - Reward: 0 - The last box is to list DAO members, which might just be you. Put your address followed by a space then the number of shares you want (10). Example: > 0xCED608Aa29bB92185D9b6340Adcbfa263DAe075b 10 - Summon your DAO and sign the transaction. - When the transaction finishes you will get a configure button. - Add a title and description. (This can be changed later so for now it's just a placeholder) - Save the configuration. This requires an off chain transaction. ### Add Boosts - Click the **Boosts** button in the left navigation then go to the market tab. - Search for **minion dev suite v3** and click install - Give it a name and select the "Allow Minimum Quorum" check box to add a **20% quorum**. - Take note of a few ETH addresses that will be used in the character creation form. - **Minion address**: click on the vaults button in the left nav then use the copy button to get the safe address. - **DAO Contract Address**: click on the little settings gear in the left nav, here you can get DAO address. *Your entrance into the game is complete. We appreciate your participation in this exercise and look forward to witnessing your choices and actions.* ## Wargames Player Onboarding Part 2 ### Y33T *You’ve traveled to the Federation’s Inter-Planetary Station, for which we are appreciative, although we are not certain of your commitment to improving the governance and treasury management processes and require proof of your dedication in the form of a Y33T.* *At this point in the game, your quest is to create a batch transaction proposal to Y33T into the Federation of DAOs. [Please do so as soon as possible](https://www.loom.com/share/0a690fc608c44661b68679cba12b6d26). Remember, we are at a treasury impasse.* - Did you get your airdrop? - Did you customize your theme? - In this next part we will make a batch call with a minion transaction builder. Don’t worry, if this sounds intimidating, we have put together some instructions that will hopefully make it easy. You’ll also have a chance to see how smart contracts work and gain some great experience working in DAOs. - We will be doing some transactions in our batch. - First transaction is an approval (basically saying that it is ok for some of your tokens to be used by a smart contract). - Second transaction is calling a smart contract function (the Yeeter). - When finished you will be a loot holding member of the The Intergalactic Federation of DAOs! ***The Federation will benefit from the collection of data. Thus, it is requested that you document the following, in order to improve the impact of this exercise.*** - How much was your airdrop? Document the balance of SPICE in your DAOs minion. - Next, here are some addresses that you will need while making the transaction - **SPICE token contract:** 0x65e1738344eb68c7e2f4279ad9e1f7c253a09911 - **Yeeter contract:** 0x753e654fff1add486efcb193310da7d6e21cf533 - Now, on to making the proposal! - Open the **new proposal** dialog - Select **Minion Classics** - Select **Transaction Builder** - In the form that comes up, you will be adding 2 different transactions. - First add a Title "Yeet into the federation" - Then select your minion from the drop down. - The first transaction needs approval. - In the Contract address **add the SPICE token contract address**. - Next select the Approve function from the drop down. -In the new fields that come up, the spender will be **the Yeeter contract address** and the amount will be a really big number (1 with 25 0s is enough). - Approve Yeeter on SPICE token - Spice: 0x65e1738344eb68c7e2f4279ad9e1f7c253a09911 - Yeeter: 0x753e654fff1add486efcb193310da7d6e21cf533 - amount: 10000000000000000000000000 - Add a second transaction. - Here, the contract address will be **the Yeeter contract address**. - Select "yeetyeet20" from the function dropdown. - Next, in the new field the amount will be some amount of your SPICE. You are now a DAO among many. We look forward to when you are a Federation DAO Shareholder.* ## Wargames Player Onboarding Part 3 ### Federation Shareholders *Your Y33t was a success. Congratulations, your DAO now holds loot in the Federation DAO. Although, this does not give you shareholding power over the Federation DAO’s treasury.* *To become a Shareholding Member of the Federation DAO, post your membership proposal in the forum and make a snapshot proposal. This will allow current members to decide whether or not you are welcome among us.* - Now that your DAO has loot in The Intergalactic Federation of Planets, apply to become a "share" holding "Member DAO". - A share holding member has some different responsibilities and rights in the DAO. - execution and ratification of off chain votes - reviewing and accepting new member proposals **Propose Your Shareholding Membership:** 1) Make a **forum post** with your BIO and information about your DAO.
