# Farcastle Proposal 2

Farcastle bridges governance and communication by transforming Warpcast channels into DAOs. Following the success of Levels 1 and 2, we are seeking funding to execute Levels 3 and 4 of our [map](https://farcastle.net/map/), empowering communities to shape their destinies and sustain shared ambitions with innovative tools and onchain coordination.

Farcastle is building in public and slowly converging into the Schelling point for the next generation of DAOs.

### Level 1: Forge the First Channel at MCON

At MCON III, we unveiled the **Post Yer Ale** channel, a dynamic space gated by the Proof-of-Drink (POD) NFT. This channel united our community during and after the event, celebrating camaraderie, creativity, and shared experiences.

#### Key Achievements

- **Event Integration**: Successful activation during [Battle of the Beers](https://lu.ma/4twhgbdc) at MCON III.
- **Channel Establishment**: [Post Yer Ale](https://warpcast.com/~/channel/post-yer-ale) channel became a hub for beer posting and hosting weekly Happy Hours.

### Level 2: Craft the Tools of Governance

We developed and deployed DAOhaus core features into Farcaster Frames, creating a foundation for onchain governance within Warpcast. In addition to the Key Achievements below we added the ability to cast from DAOhaus Admin.

#### Key Achievements

- **Core Tooling**: Proposals, Voting, and Execution Frames brought a new interface to DAOhaus features.
- **Accelerator Completion**: Successfully graduated from the Octant accelerator.
- **Partnerships**: Onboarded allies like Hats Protocol, Coordinape, and Chones to Farcastle.
- **Growth**: Seven channels adopted Farcastle, including Raid Guild, Hats Protocol, and Let's GROW.
- **Community Expansion**: The [`/farcastle`](https://warpcast.com/~/channel/post-yer-ale) channel now boasts 100 followers.

## Proposal for Levels 3 and 4

### Level 3: Empower the Community to Shape Its Destiny

This level continues to migrate DAOhaus features to the Warpcast interface. The most obvious missing element being the ability to create proposals from Warpcast. We are also introducing NFTs to serve as items for inventory and leaderboards in future levels.

#### Deliverables

- **Proposals App Frame**: Enable communities to propose, discuss, and decide on initiatives.
- **Signal and Funding Proposals**: Encourage collective action and token transfers.
- **Farcaster Fellowship NFT**: Reward and honor our supporters.
- **Happy Hour NFTs**: Commemorate contributions and events.
- **Post Yer Ale DAO**: Formalize governance for the community.

### Level 4: Unleash the Power of Community Funding

This level shifts the focus to Yeeter features within the Warpcast interface. Updating our crowdfunding tools provides the foundation for new models of DAOs.

#### Deliverables

- **Yeeter App Frame**: Launch community campaigns seamlessly.
- **Tribute Tools**: Support fundraising with Yeet From Frames.
- **Inventory App Frame**: Showcase and track contributions, creating a record of achievements.
- **Allies NFT**: Recognize and celebrate partnerships that support the ecosystem.

## Objectives

- **Increase Adoption**: Drive the summoning of v3 DAOs by leveraging channels and enhancing the user experience. Farcastle’s tools encourage communities to explore innovative governance and funding mechanisms, fostering the growth of DAOhaus.
- **Promote Sustainability**: We are pursuing diverse funding opportunities to ensure long-term viability. This includes tapping into the Flow State Streaming Quadratic Funding round, Warpcast Retro Grant, Octant Epoch Six, and proposing collaborations with Public Nouns and Purple DAO.
- **Celebrate Contributions**: Honor and document community participation through NFTs and other unique artifacts, creating a sense of belonging and recognition for contributors.

### Onboarding and Retention

Farcastle’s Levels 3 and 4 further the “Add Supplemental Technologies” [Season 7 Objective](https://signal.daohaus.fun/#/0xa/0xf5d6b637a9185707f52d40d452956ca49018247a/tcr/0xcc5ba4333d25a4279487be2ae076eba3f9423db1) by onboarding more users into DAOhaus with lore-driven storytelling and providing additional touchpoints for engagement.

### Building the Ecosystem

These milestones establish Farcastle as a flagship initiative on Warpcast and a gateway to DAOhaus, enriching both ecosystems and driving adoption.

## Payment

Requested transfer from PublicHaus ECO Fund to the Farcastle Keep Safe on Optimism.

- 10,000 OP ($21,600)
- 10,000 HAUS ($6,742)
- 1 ETH ($3,663)

The ETH will be divided in half to Grow The Pie in the Octant Builder Accelerator and donate to the Farcastle project. This provides a show of support for our project while benefitting all accelerator teams. This is also a novel narrative that should generate social media coverage from Octant, Flow State, and all teams from the accelerator.

## Timeline

Delivery of levels 3 and 4 expected by January 31, 2025.
