# DEGEN POAP bot

Here are the features that work in DEGEN at the moment:

/poap start
/poap end
/poap claim

Since DEGEN can’t communicate via DMs, POAP organizers need to create a private text channel with access to relevant team members only.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Once you’ve created the private channel, kindly allow DEGEN to read messsages on the private text channel and make sure to turn on:

- Send messages
- Manage messages
- Read history messages
- Use application commands

2. Run /poap start as normal within the private channel and select which audio channel you’d like to monitor. DEGEN will then start monitoring.

Take note that DEGEN doesn’t include users that are deafened

3. Once event ends, run /poap end and upload the links.txt file you received via email.

Make sure this is in the private channel to make sure we avoid farming.

Since DMs are disabled, you will receive a failed distribution result with the number of participants upon uploading the links.txt file. This is nothing to worry about.

4. How to claim the POAPs:
In any text channel, let participants run /poap claim and they should receive their POAP claim links instantly.
