# Public Nouns Grant Application
## Public HAUS Explorer App Milestone 1 Funding
## Abstract
DAOhaus is launching the Explorer app as part of its v3 suite, aimed at aggregating Moloch DAOs on the Gnosis Safe platform. The app enhances DAO discoverability by offering features like blockchain connectivity, membership filtering, and data analytics on proposals, treasury size, and member count.
It will also provide a social graph to visualize inter-DAO relationships and improves upon the existing Hub app's filtering options. The goal is to boost user engagement across the DAOhaus and Gnosis Safe ecosystems through a user-friendly interface.
## How Does this Project Support Public Goods
- The Explorer app aligns with DAOhaus' mission to build public goods and empower communities. It serves as a coordination tool that is community-owned and open-source, inviting anyone to contribute.
### How is it Non-Excludable
- The app is open-source and built on the DAOhaus platform, making it accessible to anyone who wishes to use it. Its features aim to benefit all DAOs and their members, rather than a select few. Additionally, community contributions are welcome durinbg the app development and can be rewarded, ensuring that the app remains a public good.
### How is it Non-Rivalrous
- The Explorer app is designed to be scalable and can serve an unlimited number of users without diminishing the quality of service for others. It aims to improve DAO discoverability and engagement across multiple ecosystems, thereby creating a positive impact that is shared rather than competed over.
### Why does it need funding right now?
- This has long been a need for the platform but has never been prioritized due to the complexity of the project and lack of funding. The time is right to get this project under way, as it will be a great benefit to users of the protocol.
## Impact/Deliverables
Our approach to funding the development of this app is to seek funding on a milestone by milestone[^1] basis. We are currently seeking funding for the first milestone of the project and perhaps leading into the second milestone.
**Month 1: Planning and Research**
- Conduct a final review of the comparative analysis of "explore" features across DAO platforms.
- Identify and finalize the most significant patterns and features to be incorporated in the Explore App.
- Develop the project plan and establish timelines for design, development, and testing phases.
**Month 2: Design**
- Begin the design process of the Explore App, focusing on an intuitive and accessible user interface.
- Design team to present initial wireframes and prototypes for review and feedback.
## Feedback Loop
## Feedback Loop
- **Discord Channel**: We will create a dedicated channel on DAOhaus' Discord server specifically for the Explorer App. This channels will serve as the primary platform for updates, discussions, and feedback.
- **Updates and AMAs**: The development team will host an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session to discuss the project's progress, answer questions, and gather community input at an appropriate time.
- **GitHub Issues and Pull Requests**: Being an open-source project, we encourage the community to report issues and contribute to the codebase. We will actively monitor GitHub for feedback and contributions.
- **Testnet and Mainnet Feedback**: Before the full launch, the app will be deployed on a testnet where users can interact with it and provide feedback. This will be followed by a mainnet launch, after which we will continue to gather feedback for further iterations.
- **Token-based Governance Proposals**: For significant changes or features, we will put up governance proposals that can be voted on by the DAOhaus community, ensuring that the app evolves in a way that aligns with community interests.
- **Transparency Reports**: We will publish a report upon completion of the milestone detailed how the funds were distributed and utilized.
