##### Minimize Summon Params

###### OFFCHAIN BEFORE ONCHAIN

DAOs are really great at performing actions on-chain, but not so great at offchain. Blockchains and thus DAOs are trustless and fully non-custodial. Anything not on-chain requires trust, and so any actions taken offchain do not have the protections and benefits of trustlessness that comes with legitimate blockchains.

You should not look to replace all actions with onchain governance. This guide will only focus on take decisions made offchain and execute them onchain.

**Example governance flows**

**OFFCHAIN**
Members (all-tiers) propose things offchain in the forum
**ONCHAIN**
Members with vSTK can propose on-chain, referencing the offchain discussion
During the voting period,
Members with vSTK can vote yes or no on proposals.
During the grace period,
Members with either vSTK or nvSTK can ragequit, removing their proportionate stake.
If proposal gets enough votes to pass quorum and has more yes than no votes, it is considered `PASSED` and will execute. Otherwise, the proposal will fail and cannot be executed.

Example:

DAO needs a website
Some member(s) of the DAO offer to facilitate the building of a new website. The member finds or builds a suitable team and requests their budget. The member makes a proposal to send the 10k to the group's address.

Note: nvSTK can be paused or unpaused through dao proposal

**YES**
Members will be able to transfer power freely to others. This also means power can be placed into open markets where they could be purchased. Minting of governance tokens is still only controlled by the moloch.

A shorter voting period gives dao members less time to react than a longer period. Means the dao can act fast.

###### quorum?

Can be balanced with quorum. For example, a short voting period but high quorum. The short voting period allows for quicker decision making, while the high quorum ensures that decisions are made with high conviction. The higher the quorum, the higher the coordination cost though, so be wary of too high of quorums.
