This proposal is aimed at fortifying our governance model, placing greater decision-making power in the hands of our community members. It is imperative that we strengthen our structure through iteration, to ensure that our Champions unequivocally act as stewards of the community's collective voice and aspirations. ## Current Governance Structure Our DAO operates under a two-token governance system, where Champions wield influence based on their Shares ownership. However, this structure has introduced complexities, diverting focus from our core mission: to faithfully represent and execute the community's will. ## Proposed Changes ### Equalized Voting Power for Champions I propose a fundamental shift toward equal voting rights for all Champions. This pivotal change will streamline decision-making processes, eliminating power disparities among Champions and ensuring that each Champion's voice holds equal weight in executing the community's directives. ### Conversion of Excess Shares To realign with this more community-driven ethos, Champions with surplus Shares will be encouraged to convert them into Loot. This transformation aims to reinforce the Champions' commitment to serving the community's best interests rather than perpetuating power dynamics. ### Introduction of Seasonal Community Elections Embracing a more democratic approach, I propose empowering our community members to directly participate in seasonal elections. Through these elections, our community will democratically nominate or remove Champions, solidifying their role as the true representatives of our collective aspirations. ## Benefits of Proposed Changes The proposed changes will usher in a new era of governance within our DAO: - **Empowerment of Community Voice:** Equalizing Champion voting rights will amplify the community's influence in decision-making, ensuring that the Champions act solely as executors of the community's expressed will. - **Clearer Champion Responsibilities:** By removing disparities in voting power, the role of Champions will be crystal clear – to faithfully execute and honor the community's mandates without conflicts of interest. - **Enhanced Community Engagement:** Seasonal elections will foster active community engagement, encouraging participation and reinforcing our commitment to a truly community-driven DAO. ## Implementation Plan To actualize these changes, a comprehensive implementation plan will be devised, including technical adjustments to the DAO's smart contract and an extensive community engagement strategy to garner consensus and support. - A baseline of 6942 shares for each Champion - A proposal can be made to demote current champions excess shares to loot in a batch.
