# Panvala Membership Report -- August 2021 As you know, DAOhaus is a member of Panvala. I (Spencer) am our primary delegate (with occasional assists from Dekan). While we have been active participants in meetings and the Future of Work Coalition, objectively we have been quite bad at utilizing the rest of the Panvala community resources, namely the PAN token. I just got off a call with Niran and Stephanie at Panvala, and we came up with something that I think is pretty awesome. Some details TBD (I have a follow-up with them next week), but I want to share what we have so far and get some of your initial signalling/input. ## Summoner Coaching DAO The basic idea is to jointly subsidize / incentivize a **Summoner Coaching DAO**. We have known for a while that helping DAOs navigate the process of bootstrapping and fostering their communities is hugely important, but we haven't had the bandwidth to make it happen at any kind of scale. A Summoner Coaching DAO would aim to close that gap: a DAO of experienced community managers and DAO-native helpful humans who help DAOs establish their communities, and get paid for doing so. *Services DAO, anyone?* Paying for this kind of service can be daunting for a brand new DAO, so to alleviate that concern, DAOhaus and Panvala would jointly subsize it for young DAOs. Here's how that could work (many details TBD): 0. DAOhaus (or UberHaus?) acquires some PAN. 1. DAOhaus stakes some PAN. In doing so, DAOhaus becomes eligible to receive a portion of PAN inflation if it receives PAN donations. 2. Instead of receiving PAN donations itself, DAOhaus instead uses some of its PAN to subsidize Summoner Coaching fees 3. Those "donations" for Summoner Coaching then get matched by Panvala inflation (at a rate determined by the amount of PAN staked in step 1) 4. DAOhaus could also subsidize Summoner Coaching with HAUS Personally, I love this idea because... - It helps DAOhaus provide a crucial service to new DAOs - It creates a new DAO that will use our Services Marketplace - It creates a way for community and soft governance experts to establish themselves and get paid appropriately for the value they provide us all - It brings us closer to the Panvala community ## Other ideas discussed - DAOs on DAOhaus receiving donations/contributions/NFT/ticket revenue in PAN gets matched by Panvala inflation based on PAN staked by DAOhaus (sort of a generalization of the previous section) - Future of Work Coalition forming as a DAO, and eventually joining UberHaus - Similar idea as above, but for DAO onboarding coaching - what other parts of DAO life could benefit from coaching?
