# DAOhaus Manifesto Discord Threads ###### tags: `manifesto` ## Vision We envision a future where any human community can achieve its purpose while reinforcing the full sovereignty of individual members ## Mission Our mission is building the technological and cultural tools empowering communities to coordinate ## What is a DAO? **Decentralized. Autonomous. Organization.** These are pillars of this HAUS. DAOs are networks of agents managing shared resources in service of a common purpose. To resist capture and corruption the powers to execute actions must be distributed and dynamic. DAOs are simply humans using tools to coordinate. DAOing it right requires vision, values and vibes. ## What are the benefits of blockchain technology? Blockchains have enabled us to be decentralized and autonomous. On-chain governance is required to reap the benefits of this technology. To distribute power and resist capture, corruption, and censorship is our objective. The tools at our disposal reduce the need for intermediaries while increasing composability. Sharing resources in a trustless manner improves security, privacy and autonomy. This allows us to transparently coordinate rather than compete. Blockchain technology helps us build a better future together while retaining sovereignty. ## Why is DAOhaus a public good? DAOhaus is a public good built by Warcamp for the Ethereum community. Access to our platform has always been and will always be free. Summoning a DAO only requires payment of network transaction fees. We offer these permissionless coordination tools to all and access does not reduce availability to others. We prioritize research and experimentation leading to product improvements that continuously add value to the community. ## Are we decentralization maxis? **Decentralization is a spectrum** We seek to maximize the distribution of resources and power. Centralization leads to disproportionate and unethical value extraction, disrupting the equilibrium of natural systems. Decentralization is a means of resisting capture, corruption, and censorship. Where we can achieve this resistance by other means, we do not need to incur the costs of decentralization. We strive to be as decentralized as possible, while not hindering our ability to coordinate today.
