--- ###### tags: `Haus Party Strategy` --- # Haus Party Live Topic: Dualities ~~Calibration, tuning, optimization, efficiency, striving excellence, virtues, wargames~~ To compete or not to compete? The question is about calibration beyond dualities. The duality of good and evil - can DAOs be evil? We are all optimists and think it will be amazing, but it can very easily go the other way. How do we avoid that? (Spoiler alert: Ragequit!) Can the thriving of the individual be separated from the collective? How might we lean into collective learning as the real innovation? There's no such thing as evil or pure good, collaboration and competition, utopia or dystopia. How does irony factor in? The founders and ideas from Web2 were good intentioned, but did they completely screw up our current paradigm? How could we have/will prevent this from happening? How much of this is related to funding sources? Accepting VC capital, optimizing for profit, having capital steer the direction of an org? (this has never not happened) Maybe some relation to game theory and The Prisoner's Dilemma: we are all operating within a power structure, forces operating above us. Can we distinguish dualities from binaries? Hard codes and soft codes? Alternative geometries or configuration? There are no solutions there are only trade offs. How might we resist the propensity to solve this problem/riddle and swim around in the soupy miasma for awhile? Ethics > morals > virtues: dualities all the way down? Gods in the sky with humans replicating those forms down on the earth... if it's dualities all the way down, then is challenging dualities the ultimate blasphemy? The universe always cleans up its own mess, can neither be created nor destroyed, nothing leaves with no trace. Truth/False is base line logic; life/death cycles are the golden rule of existence. Constructive vs destructive, or deconstructive? Do we need contrasting viewpoints to further the interests of all? Just because we have different views doesn't mean we disagree, or that we have to define right from wrong. --- - Is there general consensus to put the Haus Party notes in the repo? - Sync with Github for the SSOT - Repo cleanup helps with Logseq and Obsidian - Hosting the HackMD repo onto the new DH website? - How are we evaluating the success of Haus Parties? - New people coming in? - We're not going to release the raw notes, focus on the blog post - How might we encourage people to write their own notes, blogposts, or Tweets from their POV? We can ask and tip. - We can share our notes in real time without that competing with the blogpost publication. Put the raw into haus-party-chat - Switching up POAPs for NFTs - Coordination costs in relation to potential regen mechanisms - Also a cultural factor: NFTs are cooler or more potent? - WarGames is a separate convo, that we should definitely have! #### Positive Feedback - This season feels good! - Better audience pariticpation - Topics flow together to make coherent connections - Breadth and depth feels like its in a good balance --- #### Future Topics... - *Is crypto the universal acid??* -
