- "DAO" is not a throughly defined word/concept
- Is a taxonomy of DAO types useful? How do we persue these catagories? Is it doomed to be perpetually outdated?
- How do we justify efforts poured into creating taxonomies of DAOs?
- Bring in prior work:
- Vassine (?): editor of Blockchain Journal
- Kei Kreutler
- DAOstar One
- MetaGov
- Gov Base: Michael Zargon (?)
- Are DAOs in themselves revolutionary? Doesn't make much sense if divorce of specific use cases. The DAO structure itself is agnostic/neutral. The impact emerges from the application.
- Standardization as an attempt at predictable modularity.

- Ongoing critical updates on our collective perception of DAOs
- *What* the DAO, *how* the DAO, *why* the DAO
- Invite guests to chime in, but not present their own work. Each gets a brief intro, but the whole episode is not dedicated to existing research.
- Moves directly into the second order conversation. Straight to elaboration.
- We will make it clear that we are crafting a social space, not prepping a soapbox.
- Strategy: make a list of potential guests, invite them all, but perform no followup. Let the guest pool weed itself out organically.
- Create a backlog of guests for the Rangers Events board

<summary>"Communities" (do they even exist?) and how they relate to their founders</summary>

- Felipe's theory: there is no such thing as a community, just *human kind.* We use narrative fantasies to underscore being/becoming, identity/relationship, etc., to accelerate familiarity so we can have coordinated action between groups of non-aversarial collaborators.
- What are the pitfalls of Molochian corruption in this community narrative?
- Who has the capacity and incentive to create these narratives?
- A common DAO narrative: the followers challenge the founders on their origin narrative. How does the community respond in these circumstances?
- Is there a universal sense of community?
- Or is community an infinitely divisible compartmentalization? Based on scale, geographical location, or any number of other reasons. How does this inflect upon our taxonomy of communities?
- Why is it easier for people to see the infinite fracturation of divisions than the hidden unison of an every unfolding fractal?
- How might we explore the ontological tension on the threshold of community? Is it a trillion grains of sand or a single beach? How do we measure the shoreline? Where is the precise point where the land meets the sea?
- Is the distinction between the one and the many arbitrary in this conversation?
- What are the components/dimensions of time in the formation, growth, and management of social gradients? ie: What happens over time?

- Language creates the divisions that we are all always scrambling to ameliorate.
- Semantic naming structures of DAOs
- Meme-driven development that privleges the visual over the complex conceptual
- Challenges of perception from the perspective of the DAOist.

- How do we form the mental models (internally) that are projected out onto the substrate of our constructions? And vice versa: How do the DAO models inflect back upon our habits of mind and patterns of behavior? How do DAOs and DAO concepts form, in-form, and re-form each other?

- How far will we take this? Biomimicry, opticocentrism (humans are a visually biased species that see geometric figures in space), rationality as a calculative logic, etc.

- Explore the influence of people speaking on Ethereum's behalf
- Relates back to lorecraft.
- How the story of Ethereum is as powerful as the actual infrastructure/technology.
- So then it's marketing. Is this perverse or sincere marketing? Truly for the betterment of "the world" or for the gain of the few?
- Track the procession of punk: cyber > cypher > solar > lunar > mass adoption?
- How do we reconcial the delusion of this manifest destiny solarpunk vision with the realities of the cultural volatility of crypto?
- How has the narrative shifted across epochs? 2017, 2019, to the present.
- Influence from Vitalik, spin out to other outlets (Bankless) to end up saying very little.
- The low-fidelity optimistic narrative works against our existential plight.
- Adrenal communication: speaking directly to the limbic system of the audience. Playing into desires, fears, raw emotional states.

- Bring on guests from various projects to critically discussing (without schilling)

- MetaCartel IRL meetups: MCON, MetaCamp, etc.
- groundw3rk's DAOcamp
- Others?
- Hundreds of years of forming IRL collectives, co-operatives, etc. What do we think is so different or revolutionary about this new formations?

- Futuring/defuturing: potential pathways that we are stepping into, trying to very intentionally craft certain directions, while simultaneously closing down other potential futures.
- This is fundamentally an exclusionary tactic.
- How do we reconcile ideas of inclusion and diversity with the exlcusionary utopian idea of going *somewhere specifically* and that means *not everyone can come*?
