# C.S. Club Board 2021 Special Elections ## Candidate Statements ### Treasurer #### Trevon Davis Hello CS Department! My name is Trevon Davis, a sophomore and I’m running for Treasurer for the Computer Science Club. I will ensure that we stay within our budget and also provide the needs for the club. Covid became a big issue affecting the club and I would like for us to bring the CS club back to life. #### Zora Johnson Hi! My name is Zora Johnson. I am a transfer from Delaware Technical Community College and I am classified as a Junior here at DSU. I graduated with my Associates from DTCC in Information Technology with a concentration in cyber security. As a new student, I am excited to be on campus, but I am more excited to get involved with an organizations on campus, especially ones pertaining to my major. I am unaware of any issues affecting the club, but I am open to getting to know more about the club and would love to become involved on the committee. As treasurer, I would work beside the other members when planning events and budgeting them as well as participating in group discussions and bouncing ideas off each other to help fund the club as well. Overall, I have very well communication skills when working within a team and I enjoy teamwork as well. I believe working as a team makes great ideas turn into great outcomes! #### Kassandra Tchemi Greetings! My name is Kassandra Tchemi, I am freshman majoring in Computer Science from Washington, D.C. I currently serve as Miss Medgar Evers Hall for the 2020-2021 academic school year, I am a member of the African Student Association and NSBE. As treasurer of the CS club, I would be given the opportunity to serve the members of the CS/IT department while showcasing my leadership and collaborative skills. ### Events Coordinator #### Jessica Nguiyim My name is Jessica Nguiyim, I am an IT and Political Science major. I will be running for the Events Coordinator role for the Computer Science club. I believe one of the biggest issues facing our club is participation of members and outreach to the rest of the student body at Delaware State University. Thinking over the past 2 years since the clubs fruition, the board and its members have found multiple ways to engage and retain its members. They did this through different avenues like game nights, talks and various get togethers. I know that if I am granted the role of Events Coordinator I would be able to exponentialy increase the growth of participation and members in the club. I would do this with the experience and connections that I have built over the years at Delaware State University. ---
