The event is aimed to …. [what will this next hackathon be?] **My thoughts: The event is aimed to bring together students of all educational backgrounds and promote a healthy learning and collaborative environment for them to solve the problem at hand.** Delaware State Computer Science Club members, alumni, and volunteers will help to make sure that the event runs in an efficient manner. What can sponsors get from this event? - Exposure to our students? How so? - Maybe we have certain sessions that are mini-challenges throughout the hackathon, and these mini-challenges can somehow benefit Amazon, or they can put their name all over the challenge. Maybe they can propose the challenge, like helping them to come up with a solution to a problem they are dealing with within the company - Everybody who wants to participate in the hackathon can submit their resumes to be considered by Amazon for their next hiring cycle? Code Swarm will last for **x** amount of days/hours and it will include: - Here we can use stuff from the last hackathon? Wasn't on the board so idk how the process went **Event overview** Organizers: Delaware State University Computer Science Club Host: Delaware State University (or webex? It’s virtual?) **When:** Dates for hackathon **Where:** again, virtual unless we change **Event format:** How will we format it if it is virtual? I am thinking we start in a big group, then each team goes into their prospective breakout rooms to work together to solve the issue. We need to end the breakout rooms at certain points to encourage the teams to do the mini challenges with Amazon, to help with their exposure? Maybe we can have a discord channel made specifically for the hackathon, and have different channels to provide the participants with different infromation. General channel for people to ask question to alumni or board members that are helping. We will have - Alumni and CS Club board members to help provide guidance to teams if they need help - Workshop?: Something to help up the skill of the people attending the hackathon **Budget breakdown** Hopefully y’all have this from the previous hackathon. If we are virtual, I think we should use that company that delivers food to everybody at the same time even when they are in different locations, so everybody can ***feel*** as if they are together in a sense. The comapny is eatNgage Someone has to be in charge of sending the links out for people to make orders I assume we will be saving some money in virtual format? Maybe see if we can get people shirts.
