Very interesting idea. * [LH] The responses from the client are evaluated against four constraints (Realism, Identity, Task and Time). The challenges are simple tasks for humans, e.g. humming a tune or clearing their throat. The authors find their model has a 91-100% detection accurracy, which is better than the baseline of 72% for SpecRNet which does not use challenges. Some preliminary results are given for video calls as well, and the authors provide images to show the AI creating visible distortions when attempting the challenges. ###### tags: ``CAPTCHA``, ``deepfake`` ## [How Secure Are The Main Real-World Mix Networks — Case Studies To Explore Vulnerabilities And Usability](https://link) * By Kun Peng (Huawei Technology Ltd, Australia) * [AA] Short review by AA * [BB] Short rview by BB ###### tags: `` `` ## [Payment with Dispute Resolution: A Protocol for Reimbursing Frauds Victims](https://eprint.iacr.org/2022/107) * by Aydin Abadi (University College London, United Kingdom), Steven J. Murdoch (University College London, United Kingdom) * [FH] This paper proposed a payment with disput resoluiton (PwDR) protocol, which collects necessary payment information required for possible reimbursement later in case of a dispute. A prototype based on smart contracts is presented. APP is a real-world problem. The intuition of the solution is not clear. * [BB] Short rview by BB ###### tags: ``e-payment``
