# Riot Racing
On chain (Polygon/MATIC) racing game. The game includes cars (which can be enhanced), gas stations (gas acts as an entry fee for races), tracks that you can buy land around, and billboards. For now they are dropping cars, land, and gas stations. Alpha testing of the races is expected in Q3 2021.
The gas stations are 3.3 eth, the cars range from 0.01 to 1.12 depending on level (see details below.)
It is worth pointing out that this project is similar to hashgarage...interesting conversation [here](https://discord.com/channels/841849709223215184/841849709600571414/855095985456676874).

### Description
*you don't need to hit all these points...these are just things to think about...*
* How's the art?
The cars and gas stations look pretty damn cool. 3d models that you can enhance (improve engine, handling, etc.)
Cars have rarity (body style, color, and 'genesis') and experience levels. You can buy a more experienced car at a drop for a higher price. The ranks are:
| Level | Abbreviation | XP Range |Drop Cost|
| -------- | -------- | -------- |-------|
|Rookie|O|0-99 XP|0.01|
|Rally|R|100-199 XP|0.045|
|Driver|D|200-399 XP|0.1|
|Tracker|T|400-599 XP|0.19|
|Aero|A|600-799 XP|0.28|
|Pro|P|800-999 XP|0.56|
|Legendary|L|1000+ XP|1.12|
* Is it useful in other contexts? Like...the metaverse?
The cars race to win $RIOT, and gas station owners get $RIOT from cars refilling with gas for races. There will be mechanics shops as well that presumably will get $RIOT for enhancing cars, and the site says that land owners and billboard owners will pay a yeild in $RIOT tokens.
**About gas stations:** *Gas Station owners earn 1% of the cost of all fuel bought at their stations. Anticipated APY* is 100%.
There are only 20 Gas Stations available to start and they are the rarest asset in the game.
*Note: RIOT token payouts will be paid while reserves last. We estimate this period to last two years. After this period, payouts will depend on gameplay volume.*
**About land**: *Each time a race happens, the Race Track Land owners earn. There are seven race tracks in the game, and each track has 50 parcels of land available. Anticipated APY* is 100%.
Before each race players pass by one of the Billboards in the game. Billboard owners can place their own ads on the billboard, or earn by renting out the space to others.
*Note: RIOT token payouts will be paid while reserves last. We estimate this period to last two years. After this period, payouts will depend on gameplay volume.*
* Does the NFT unlock other content (social media or otherwise)?
You have to have a car to race. Owners of $RIOT will be able to vote and impact the development of the game.
From their site: *RIOT holders can participate in the Council of Racers by voting on game fees, distributions, and changes.*
RIOT can also be staked, and they say will be tradable on Uniswap.
* Are there reuse / remix/ derivative rights?
* Anything interesting or unique in the drop mechanics?
* Any signs of a possible rug pull?
* How's the team? Do they have experience? Are they named on anonymous? Do we know their Twitter, IG, or Discord handles? Are they active?
The team is big...they list 10 developers. Split acorss creative, UI/UX, and game development. The team has been pseudo-anonymous so far.
* How's the community? Big? Active? Supportive
The Discord is active and growing. The drops seem to sell out very quickly.
* Are any big name influencers on board?
* Is there a roadmap of future plans? Is it believable?
Yes there is a roadmap for the game, it seems pretty agressive. Time will tell.
