# ITESO - Coding Software

Dear students,

Install the **PyCharm Professional** software on your laptop or desktop. We'll be using this IDE to develop our python applications.

**STEP 1**

Go to the JetBrains webpage and sign-in with your student account (use your institutional student email) https://www.jetbrains.com/

* Verify that your student license is active: https://account.jetbrains.com/licenses
* If not active, please fill in the form to request one (using your student email address).


**STEP 2**

Download and install the "Toolbox App": https://www.jetbrains.com/toolbox-app/

**STEP 3**

Once installed, sign into the toolbox (upper left corner) on your laptop.


**STEP 4**

Using the toolbox, install the following software:
* **PyCharm Professional**

Be sure that you specifically select `PyCharm Professional`. Once you open the software for the first time, you might be required to enter your student login info.
