## Sentence Summary
This MIP template exists to document the fallback decision process, and it's votes.
## Paragraph Summary
In the event a Core Unit has no succession/unwinding plan, the candidate(s) are not willing or eligible to become *Interim* Facilitator, and the outgoing facilitator's nomination fails, the community needs to align around a new facilitator. There are at most two votes in the fallback process. Each one occurs right after another on a weekly cycle. This process ensures swift management of Core Units that lose Facilitators.
### Fallback Decision Votes
*To ensure a smooth vote please list all current facilitators, list term of service for interim facilitator, and list compensation and budget configurations to modify upon ratification.*
1. Assemble all active facilitators in a list. Set up a ranked choice vote with a period of one week (platform agnostic). Open the vote to the community and whomever is the winning candidate is immediately designated as the interim Facilitator.
2. Assemble all active facilitators in a list. Set up a ranked choice vote with a period of 48 hours (to one week). Open the vote to all active facilitators. Whomever has a simple majority is the winning candidate. The winning candidate is immediately designated as the interim Facilitator.
### Core Unit ID
- Please specify the Core Unit ID.
- This element specifies which Core Unit you are proposing an interim Facilitator.
