# Kick-off 2022 day 0 grilling planning
Before the kick-off event, those already around will go to Nuuksio (National park close to Helsinki) to grill over a fire.
This is a fun thing to do, and should be routine, but there are some uncertainties. Read on to make sure.
## Basics
Nuuksio, Haukkalampi parking at 18:00 (60.30979, 24.51659). The walk is less than 1km on very good footpaths. Walking south to Mustalampi there are two cooking shlters right by the dam:
East: 60.3056, 24.5120
West: 60.3058, 24.5102
We will plan to be there around 18:30
- RD - car. Will pick up these people around 17:45:
- DP - Radisson Blu, Espoo (can not join due to a meeting)
- SS - Radisson Blu, Espoo
- JR
- MJ - car. Will pick up:
- RB - from airport
- SW?
## Stuff to bring
If you are arriving from outside of Finland:
- Warm clothes for standing around and walking in 10°C weather. It will probably be warmer, but just be safe.
- Water bottle (can be empty, we will have water and there is a water faucet there.)
If you are a local:
- Please bring some food for grilling (e.g. sausages, cheese, vegetables, ...). Please list here:
- JR: Grilling sausages (meat), corn, zucchini with spices
- MJ: sausages (meat), potato chips or similar, something to drink, chocolate
- ...
- Containers to take spare food home.
rkdarst's packing list:
- spare water
- plates, forks, etc.
- grilling kit
- flashlights
- Food for all arriving people
- sausages (vegetarian)
- cheese
- fruit
- hummus and stuff to put in it
JR will also bring:
- Extra coat
- 2 quilts
## Uncertainties
This isn't a reasturant, there are things that can go wrong. For full disclosure, here are some:
- Weather is bad (probably not that bad, we are all nordic anyway, we come prepared. There are shelters to stay under)
- Both fire pits are occupied (there are two of them, not likely to be busy on Thursday evening in September. We wait a bit for them to get done, good thing is fire will be ready for us.)
- Complexities in picking people up
- Too little food (we got more later)
- Not enough food variety, since a proper picnic can be hard (snacks back in town?)
