## Preliminary Rounds
**Introduction**

**Breakout Sessions**

- **Have your 3 min background timer ON**
- Split up in breakout sessions according to our [Group Zoom Links](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aLhqYE4Z4HHj9ucVgW2ltneRRbf1S_PeKvR876rLjB0/edit#gid=0)
- Each Guru/TA will be MCing their own session
- Have **lead presenters** rename themselves to the following format:
- **(Lead) [Team Name] - Student Name**
- Make sure each presentation is ready to go based on the order of presentations
- 3 min presentations + 2 min Q&A
- **Hard Stop 5 min** Total per group
- Simulator + 1 or 3 slides (review [student protocols](https://hackmd.io/@codepath-tfs/SJ8a2_Y5v))
**Before ending your individual sessions**
- Find and share your designated [**Voting Form**](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11AIP0Ae3B9PYv7QGURDSrb8S6BIoCRRUi_iYx7P-_zg/edit#gid=817650815)
- Confirm that everyone in your session has voted
- Remind students about our Tie Breaker criteria
- Winners will be announced in the final round event (so make sure to stick around!)
#### Hard stop end your session before 11:45am
- Keep in mind of the time and try to keep a rhythm that will ensure you finish around 11:40

### * :warning: Criteria for Breaking Ties
If there was a tie, here are the four categories that **help** you break ties:
- **Most Innovative** – used new tech such as Vision, AR, VR, AI, Machine Learning, etc.
- **Best Design** – had some interesting UI, Animations, Color schemes, etc.
- **Best Product Idea** – potential to make money or turn into a business idea

- If THERE IS a tie, host will be tie-breaker
