CodePath Tools ### 1. [Organizer Dashboard](https://organize.codepath.org) - Initial Setup done by the Operations team: ![](https://i.imgur.com/BOHAWBY.png) - **ACTION ITEM:** Make sure to finalize your course details 1 month before the start date. Once finalized, please fill out this [course details form](https://forms.gle/qDwQViA1mVPzTMid7). Below are the following details that we need to finalize: - Course start date - Session dates and times - Assignment Deadlines ==**NOTE**== All the tools below are external links located on the right: ![](https://i.imgur.com/axiBBZK.png) ### 2. Attendance Dashboard - This is where you mark students absent/present/excused - If students request an excused absence, it will show up on your session - The sessions will pop up when you add sessions under the "Sessions" Section on the dashboard ==**NOTE**== Tech Fellows should update the **Attendance before 10PM PST**. ### 3. Group Formation Tool (Mobile) This is where you can see which students have formed their groups and lock them once they confirm with you their group members. ### 4. [Discussion System](discussions.codepath.org) **Tech Fellows:** Used to send emails/announcements to students that are *enrolled*. - To send an announcement, go to the "Notes" -> Post Note ![Posting Notes](https://i.imgur.com/Peeo9RB.png) This is also where students can post questions. - Students can find the link to the discussion system on the [**Course Portal**](http://courses.codepath.org) (located on top right corner) ## II. Pre Course - Classroom Logistics (booked Room, class dates, etc) - **Important** : Make sure to fill out Classroom Logistics a month before your class run, becuase students running in to scheduling conflicts is on of the most common reasons student drop - Marketing stratiges (**Non Credit sites only**) - For non credit sites the Student marketing materials are very important for ensuring you have enough students to run the course ![](https://imgur.com/sYZ7mFJ.png) ### B. During Course Contains the weekly expectations of Tech Fellows, it is very **important** that TF's check and fill out the Task Tracker on a weekly basis while class is running. #### Weekly Tasks - Marking attendance on the attendance dashboard - Reviewing student submission rates, and reaching out to struggling students - Reviewing the gradebook from Operations - Scheduling a weekly call with your Gurus. #### Weekly Slide Deck Templates We provide template slide decks ready to be customized by you for your cohort's needs! This is how you access them: - [ ] Go to the **[course portal](https://courses.codepath.org)** and switch your "Course" from Tech Fellow Training -> "[Course] University (i.e. iOS University)" - [ ] **Make a copy of unit 0 slide deck** under the "Tech Fellow" Tab - [ ] **Edit and review** your slide decks and be prepared to answer questions from students ### One-off Tasks #### Class Photos (unit 2, 12) On unit 2 and 12 we require all sites to take a group photo or a screen shot of their zoom class room - At the end of every semester, we create a collage of the group photos of students who joined our course and post it on our websites with their success stories. We also use some of these photos in our marketing materials. #### Class Recording (unit 3, unit 10) On unit 3 and 10 we require all sites to take class room recordings. - **Zoom** This process will be automated: no TF action required. - **In person** please record video of the first 30 mins of the class for class evaluation and upload it in the Google Drive. - The video recording is used CodePath by to see how the class environment is in each of the schools that are teaching the course. ![](https://imgur.com/KAEVmqI.png) ## III. Collaborating with Operations Team ### Operations team The operations team: * Audit your setup on the organizer dashboard * Implement course policies * Grading each submission (you will receive the gradebook from them for review) * Monitor attendance throughout the course * Drop students * Respond to student emails (support@codepath.org) **What to ask them about:** * When students will receive their grades * Need to update grade, attendance, etc * Un-drop students * Students encountering issues with their CodePath account or accessing surveys ## IV.
