# Scholarship Protocols Proposals
**Main Issue**
It's hard to evaluate TFs using only NPS, Attendance, Communication, Marketing, etc. The reason is because not all tech fellows have the same tasks. Sites with 2+ TFs assign themeselves with different tasks (i.e. one tech fellow checks in with Guru, another does Task Tracker, another does most of the teaching, etc)
### Proposed Solutions:
#### 1. Check in with each TF
Challenges:
- Time is limited
#### 2. TF Assesment
Conduct assesments similar to how Karen does Guru Assesments.
This is to validate what they are saying.
Challenges:
- Hard to come up with personalized assesments due to TFs with different tasks
- Time consuming since they have to be personalized for each tech fellow and their individual tasks
- i.e. some tech fellows are focused on marketing, others on teaching, others on mentoring (training) the new TFs
#### 3. Weekly survey for TF
Ask all Tech Fellows what they did and how their partner TFs are doing in terms of work each week. Include the question: "Did any TF stood out this week?"
Challenges:
- Potential for bias (i.e. some tech fellows don't do most of the teaching and instead are focused on marketing or taking attendance)
#### 3.5 Weekly TF Grading Sheet
Write down points each TF got (0 - 5) and comment on why they got that score.
We evaluate based on weekly survey + checkins.
#### 4. Jump in to one of the TF team meeting once in a while
See how TFs carry out their meetings as a group and see how they work together. Be added to their Team google drive or other team tools they use to organize their syncs and strategies.
#### 5. A combo of all the previous solutions
