# Sean Lim Interview ### 9/8/2020 **Course:** iOS **University:** Tufts University ### Personal Questions *Tell me about yourself.* - Member of a bunch of culture clubs, plays a lot of sports, thinking of majoring in CS, is a TA for Discrete Math - Is Declared CS major but has not declared - Did a SWE internship past summer, learned a lot about developing web apps but learned about his math interest in DSE - From singapore *Why do you want to apply as a Tech Fellow?* - Didn't know what CodePath was until Vic reached out - after she reached out he was very interested because he loves education and teaching - head of education of Data Science club - Coming into college had no technical background, huge learning curve but learned so much, feels so empowered by technology and wants to give the same empowerment to other students and teach them *What skills do you have that would contribute as a Tech Fellow? Prior experiences?* - TA experience for past 2 semesters would help, has a lot of experience teaching a lot of learning styles - has a passion for technology, past internship experience - interned at a startuo in singapore - virtual conferencing - worked on their web application teams, fixed bugs *What does it take to build a good community in the classroom?* - Anything tech related, people usually learn better by doing rather than by listening *What skills do you want to build/improve on? (technical/non-technical)* - technical: really interested in iOS development, school does not have ios classes - always wanted to learn ios and this is a good start - non-technical: Wants to learn how to be a better educator - being a good programmer is about explaining thought process in an easy to understand way ~~*What would you improve in CodePath?*~~ - irrelevant, barely learned about CodePath ### Live Demo Applicants should present their favorite tool that they used from the previous course that they've taken with.
