Event Flyer/Email

• Use canva.com to setup pizza party template
• Send event REMINDER email flyer to students who already applied three times using roster tool
  • 3 days before event
  • 1 day before event
  • Day of event
• Send email flyer to professors and other clubs/organizations

** Make sure to include date/time and location on the email. Additionally, include links of signing up for the course

Logistics

• Room acquired/secured
• Pizzas. Dominos pizza? Start looking at prizes/coupons for discounts to get more for less money.
• Schedule the delivery through dominos (preferably 30 minutes before event)

During Event

• Use and customize this template slide for Unit 0

  • Make a copy to your drive and edit it pertaining to your university.
  • Add schedule of your CodePath sessions in one of your slides
  • Setup (make sure it's ready and functional) tool for getting attendance of the pizza party (i.e. google forms)
  • Link attendance form using bit.ly or shorturl
  • Also use qrcode monkey to create a nice qr-code for your attendance form (see Guillermo's Example on SLIDE 18)

• Here are the important information points to emphasize during the info session:

  • Course Portal (courses.codepath.com)
  • Discussion System (located at top right corner of course portal)
  • Example for submitting assignment (demonstrate one of your github submissions as an example)

After Pizza Party

• Send recap email about Unit 0 to all who attended + students who already signed up
  • Example email
• Send codepath your receipt for the pizza reimbursement. Email with [e-mail]
  • Include this on the email with your receipt:
    • Paypal username, Total Amount, attached Receipt
    • Subject line email: Pizza Party Reimbursement for UNIVERSITY
