Transfer - Took the course with Chase this Winter *Why do you want to apply as a Tech Fellow?* - Really enjoyed the course with Chase - Had an SE internship, didn't dive into security as much as he wanted - Got his own raspberry pi, trying to hack his own wifi - using kali linux - Wants to "ease his hunger" with for cybersecurity - seems really motivated *What skills do you have that would contribute as a Tech Fellow? Prior experiences?* - Prior Internship + Raspberry pi project - Computer Engineering Major - "Best of both worlds" - Understand hacking in software and hardware level *What does it take to build a good community in the classroom?* - Communication and politeness - Being able to hear others' thoughts - Include everyone in the communication process *What skills do you want to build/improve on? (technical/non-technical)* - Leadership - Previous leadership - SHIP project lead - 2-3 engineers - Design and code a new checkout portal - While being the "leader", was able to learn from his team - Elected to be new Techn program manager - "Being the leader is not being a dictating" *How was the TF application process? Would you make any changes to improve it?* - "pretty normal" overall - Slides - Hard not the copy the slides because they are there - You need to be creative - **Maybe be more open-ended, not just topics** *What would you improve in CodePath?* - None at the moment ### Live Demo Applicants should present their favorite tool that they used from the previous course that they've taken with. This should be presented through slides. * **Additional notes:** - Pros :heavy_check_mark: - Taught like teaching students - provided case study on IDOR - Structure: Who, What, Why, Safety - Thoughtful explanation of examples ('the how' slide) - Above average understanding of the concept - My question: How common are urls with IDOR vulnerabilities - Above average answer - Cons: :-1: - Slides were bland - Often not looking at the camera (small significance) - * **Verdict:** Pass/Fail (need to consider other TFs) ### Tech Fellow Covid Grant Grant of `$599` sent directly to tech fellows via PayPal.
