# Mar 12
## Announcements
- Reminder to be kind to the students:)
- Great work with all the tickets that flooded the channel recently
## Agenda
- Encourage writing feedback through the portal! i.e., if as there is a **curriculum** ambiguity or observed pattern resolving tickets, please report it through the portal!
- What is the TA attitude toward last few weeks on support?
- Hard during surges (weekends). Otherwise, managable
- Any TA Updates
- update on two additional iOS TAs? -> 2 interviews upcoming, 1 no offer
- Incorporated Autolayout & git in interview -> will add in upcoming interviews
- Increased questions regarding Autolayout issues
- Will's process: confused student -> 16 min constraint tutorial video. If they are still confused, provide more support. Often, they don't respond after the video
- [Autolayout Tutorial Resource Video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emojd8GFB0o&ab_channel=CodeWithChris)
- Spoon feeding
- First, establishing their situation and current understanding BEFORE giving answer (handled by bot)
- [Kunwar] Switch to Swift Package Manager?
- Ancedote: Lots of tickets related to cocoapods in the beginning
- M1 macs + cocoapods = very buggy
- SPM will be implemented this summer!
- Teaching git and github inside the curriculum
- Suggested Github Desktop or CLI over Xcode's git integration
- Concern: Students often do not read the assignment page; they often watch the video and close the portal
- Will be added in summer curriculum development
- Idea: Remove the video walkthrough playlist and make the videos disjoint, causing the students to return to the course page before watching the next video
- Idea: Change the number steps into headings with more information about each step
- Idea: Include Gif Walkthrough/suggestions on portal
- It is included upder `Using Github` tab, but it is often unvisited by students
- [Tejen] FAQ tracker for student tickets.
- Asking what are commonly asked topics?
- Potentially real-time or retroactive analysis
- [Tejen] Gather TA input on commonly asked questions - a starter pack!
## Action Items
- [ ] @**Memo** Add page snippets/frequent errors inside videos
- [ ] Implement SPM into curriculum
- [ ] @**Mark** add a mark "resolved after 48 hours" feature on groove
- Canned message in Slack for edge-case Groove tickets
- [ ] **@Memo** be able to see amount of questions by channel (i.e. remote-ios-help: 20, unit1-ios-help: 50)
- Near-term: retroactively track total number of tickets. If possible, separate by channel.
- [ ] **@Memo** change prework+ios@codepath.org to just ios+help@codepath.org?
- ^ Some students don't use slack at all. So answering technical questions (not just prework questions) will be useful for students that don't install slack (although it's highly recommended to have it installed)
- [ ] **@Memo** add 5-point rating scheme after resolving
- i.e. please rate our support experience (1. Could be better, 2. it's ok, 3. Great! Keep doing this!)
- [ ] TA's/Gurus mark question as "Course logistics question"
- $1 Dollar posts
