• Recently took iOS course in spring
• Interested in design and web dev and HCI (human computer interaction)

Why do you want to apply as a Tech Fellow?

• The course motivated her to learn coding
• Wants to do taing and tutoring

What skills do you have that would contribute as a Tech Fellow? Prior experiences?

• In highschool, did a lot of leadership positions

• Lots of tutoring math in college

• Really good at collaborating with people and sharing ideas

What does it take to build a good community in the classroom?

• Communication
  • In a large class, it may be hard to ask questions
  • foster a vulnerable environment
  • Providing good instructions

What skills do you want to build/improve on? (technical/non-technical)

• Technical - iOS
• Collaborative coding

How was the TF application process? Would you make any changes to improve it?

• No problems

What would you improve in CodePath?

• Grading system
  • Her assignments were grading differently from the rubric
  • Difficult to get in contact

Tech Fellow Covid Grant

Grant of $599 sent directly to tech fellows via PayPal. All Tech Fellows can apply (for-credit, non-credit, returning, new, etc.). To qualify, TFs must:

• Write an essay about COVID + CodePath community-building
• Attend + Participate 9-week leadership training
• Recruit minimum of 15 students (Admitted status)
