# Alan Cao Bi-weekly Check in (1st Round) ## Lab/Tools/Resources Feedback - What do you think about the training? (I.e. slow, fast, just right, hard, easy) - _Keep in mind of TFs who are former students, we are gearing towards new tfs with little to no experience in iOS_ - for him not that fast paced - likes best the live coding - the live coding and the break out rooms are helpful bc he can kinda see how they could teach it from the way other TFs are doing it - What do you think about having separate trainings one for those who never took the iOS course before and one for those who already took the iOS course? - separating them would be better because when theyre first learning, the way the technical training sounds it introduces everything really fact - this question was not relevant to Alan and idk if its worth asking unless they're new TFs - What do you think of changing our 7am lab to 8am? not relevant asking bc he goes to 1pm session - How can we improve the labs - likes having one solid app like completing the Yelp - would want more difficult features but does not know what sorts of topics he would want the features to revolve around - introducing concepts that you might not usually learn in the basics - How can we improve the assignments - Update videos - Movie API had to copy/paste the networking call, would want better explanations - Have you checked out our portals (i.e. task tracker setting up organizer dashboard, course portal, discusssion space, notion space). Any Feedback? - Task tracker does not have a lot on it that he could interact with rn, mainly logistical stuff - Missed out on a Slack message and lost communication with UCSD TFs - Notion is pretty basic and understandable - Has not really navigated through the Notion a lot but know where to go ---- these questions weren't really helpful at all, kinda created an awkward conversation ---- ## How Familiar are you with CodePath - Who do you know from CodePath? - - How well do you know the team structure of CodePath? (i.e. who to contact for what issue) Note PRESENT THEM TO OUR [CODEPATH TEAM](https://www.notion.so/ioscodepath/b663da4697b24cc2a4434f25f551d237?v=5eb7eb84e6ed4407b1c8485241666b48) ## Sites with 1 TF - Do you know any friends who might be interested in helping you? - 2 main routes we are considering: - Start a batch 2 of training or - Help with marketing, operations, attendance (non-iOS stuff) Note ## Get to know each other - Chat with your TF ## Questions / Concerns
