# :gift: Tally WGMI Gift Exchange Guidebook :santa:

## Summary

We're Gonna Make It. In celebrating the generousity of the crypto community, let's celebrate by dazzling each other with fun and fanfare. Gather your pups and let's drop a pretty penny on ecosystem that gave us so much. For a $30 budget let's play a game of Secret Santa or what we call the Tally WGMI Gift Exchange.

To participate in this year's Secret Santa or WGMI Gift Exchange, sign up using the forms linked below! You will be assigned one giftee (your "Santee") for each exchange you participate in, and someone else will be assigned to be your gifter (your "Santa"). We urge you to be as specific as possible while filling out the forms to make it easier for your Santa to give you the perfect gifts! Later in the event, we will have a Discord channel up so you can show off your presents and then a reveal thread where you can publicly out yourself as your Secret Santee's Secret Santa (or your Secret Santa's Secret Santee).

Step 2: [SIGN UP HERE](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeovvEsQD536aAAorFKHeqeUXPvawiq-ngFZ8M_OkL9UVS7Zg/viewform) Sign-ups will be open for 6 days, until December 8 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Remember to fill out your About Me section so you can get a gift that is suitable for you. Only one submission per participant.

Step 3: Matches will be sent out via email, so check your inbox. You should receive these by Friday, December 10. The matches will be assigned randomly.

Step 4: Buy, create, mint, and send your gifts! Gifts should have a budget of around +/- $30 or handmade. You can send digital or physical. Gifts for exchanges must be delivered by December 23 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Step 5: You are encouraged (though not required) to send your presents out as soon as you can. This is helpful in case your giftee doesn't respond to you within the gift-giving period.

Step 6: You need to send at least one gift by Thursday, December 23rd. Of course, you are welcome to continue gifting or creating for as many days as you like, as long as your giftee receives at least one thing by December 23rd. If they still don't accept, contact #MrsNuBooty on Discord.

Step 7: Post your Gifts on Discord!!
Check back for the Matches Are Out/Share Your Gifts post, where you can gush publicly and anonymously about your gifts. You are also welcome to make a separate post to talk about how generous your Secret Santa is.

## Digital vs Physical Gifts

Gift budget is $30. It can be one nice vinyl or $30 worth of candy. Want to create some NFT or a digital portrait? Create a sick custom beat for your lovely friend? Remember to fill out the 'about me' section so that your Secret (crypto) Santa can tailor a gift to you.

"Tell your Secret Santa about yourself. What are your hobbies? What are you interested in? What do you nerd out on? What do you wind down with?"

## FAQ

**What if I didn't get an email with my giftee's name?**

Please contact one of the organizers asap. Matches have been assigned so nobody should be waiting on a match at this point. Otherwise check your Spam box.

**What should I get my giftee?**

If you're lucky, your giftee included some info about their interests on the site and a wishlist. If you're not lucky, ask friends in your Dog Pack a list of ideas for finding out more about your giftee/what they're into here. If you're completely stuck, some safe bets are holiday-related items or cry. Please do not send anything inappropriate.

**How much should I spend?**

We set a $30 target but also only as much as you're comfortable spending! It's the thought that counts, and we don't think anyone should bankrupt themselves for this. But if you want to bankrupt yourself, we certainly won't stop you.

**When should I start gifting?**

You can start now if you'd like! At least one gift must be sent by December 15th, and it's a good idea to start early in case your giftee is away or something goes wrong. You can gift bomb your recipient now, you can keep them on edge or you could sprinkle gifts around like glitter.

**What if my giftee is international or not in the same country?**
The spreadsheet will optimize for geographical location. If you are not in the same country you can try and order from Etsy or Amazon in their home country or something digital would be great.
